Sean Garrett feat. Rick Ross - In Da Box
I love me some Sean Garrett, anything he puts out I tend to like. He has the ultimate club feel to his music without having Lil' Jon "WHAT"'s and Pitbull's rapping. Great dance track, 3/5
Anthony Frank - Let me Know
Slow jam here, heartfelt lyrics, nice voice, nothing original, but definitely worth a listen if you're into the soulful stuff. 3.1/5

David Guetta feat. 50 Cent - Bullshit & Party
David Guetta meats 50 Cent meets Venga Boys. Background track sounds like it comes from Electric Circus. Song isn't even 3 minutes long, however I like the way 50 spits on this track, I definitely had it on repeat while running on the treadmill today. 2.3/5
Taoi Cruz - Believe in me now
Not a huge Taoi Cruz fan, or a huge fan of this song, however I can tell that others will probably like it. Since I'm biased to it I will not rate it, but I have feeling you may like it!

Kelly Rowland f. Lil Wayne - Motivation (Ill Factor & Linney Remix)

Kat Deluna - Drop it Low
This song from Kat is pure sex. Kinda has a pussycat doll feel while still keeping that "whine/caribbean" sound. I've never been a fan of Kat Deluna's voice, it's very opera-ish and it doesn't mesh well with hip hop/rnb music. This song is autotuned a little which helps. Definitely worth downloading and playing while you're getting ready for dt. 2.9/5
Jeremy Greene - Falling Forever
This song is so special! This is really my kind of song. It's dreamy, heartfelt and takes you to a place outside of this world. This song really brings out emotions in me, which may not be true for everyone, different people connect to different types of songs. If you appreciate this song like I do it'll be one you cry to. 3.3/5

Ke$ha - Radio Radio Radio
I have NO idea where this song comes from, there is nothing on her official website and I didn't find anything on any fan sites. Maybe it was a track that was slated for an album but never made the cut? Maybe it's a leaked upcoming single? I don't religiously follow Ke$ha so I have no idea, however the song is great. It definitely has the Ke$ha "feel" and makes you want to drink a lot and go party, or just sing it in your bedroom and jump around. 3.4/5
Jennifer Lopez - Papi

Britney Spears feat. Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha
Created due to recent success of RIHmix S&M ? To better promote tour (Brit+Nicki) To boost album sales ? Britney needing some swag ? Regardless it is fun, it doesn't butcher the original and Nicki definitely adds to the track and makes it worth listening to more than once. 3/5
Kardinal Offishal feat. Pitbull, Lil Jon and Clinton Sparks - Smash the Club
Nothing super original. Your typical club banger that offers 0% originality. BUT, these carbon copy songs are made for a season, they make you get buck. Not gonna lie, if I hear this track at the club whilst intoxicated, you better watch out for the booty. 3/5

You can do it
This brings me to say, that there is nothing more powerful than the power of the self. As corny as it sounds, when you believe in yourself, work hard, and have an open and accepting mind, there is nothing you cannot accomplish.
Nobody knows you, and what you're capable of. Never let anyone's words get in the way of what you can accomplish. Keep your eyes on the prize, and do not get distracted by nonsense.
Congratulations to Melissa Douglas, Krysta Brownell, Shana Simon, Monique Johnson, Myself, Justin Trevail, and especially Kate Boutillier for being such a rock star and only keep her eyes on whats important and not giving up.
You deserve it more than anyone baby, my little underdog <3

Opposing the past

First off, I want to say, to each their own. I don't want to be ethnocentric in any way (meaning I compare everyone's lifestyles and beliefs to my own, my own being superior). I realize different things make different people happy, but there are some things I can't understand.
Why are people I went to high school with, having babies, getting married, and building houses ?
This is 2000 flippin' 10. We have an unlimited supply of choices in life's great pursuit. The world is only becoming more accessible everyday, yet people who are barely 22 are settling down.
Making any kind of commitment of that nature would just be a nightmare for me. I feel so young, and so alive and there are 10 million things I want to do before I start worrying about birthday parties and scrabble night. I realize people fall in love, yes, but why the rush to be locked up in legal and financial vows ?? To me it just seems like giving up on so many things in life.
Maybe people are following religious or cultural traditions, I don't know. But to the people I went to high school with, our home town is but a sliver, a miniscule ant of what's out there. I'm sick of hearing, "Oh I'd love to move away, and I'd love to get involved in this, I'd love to do that.... but I could never, I'd be too scared!" Scared ? Really ? Do you really want to be old and gray wishing you spent a little more time on yourself in your 20's ?
Trust me, I'm not hating on ANYONE'S lifestyle choice, I just feel most people could really get a lot more out of life if they wanted to. I'm not saying marriage and all those things aren't amazing. But there is SO much time to build a nice house, have beautiful children, and go on family vacations, why miss out on the best years of your life ?? Are your crazy high school parties going to be the only thing you'll be able to talk about when you're older ?
To all the beautiful, young, liberal people out there pursuing their dreams and reading this blog, Rock the fuck on. People say life is short, life is not fucking short, it is long as hell. It's time to DO YOU, chase your dreams and settle down when the time is right.
Thoughts ?

I don't like being tall
I very much dislike being tall, and I'm only 6'1 ! So there are a LOT of people who are much taller than me, and I pity them ever so more. But relative to most people, I am very tall and as much as you would think all tall people love being tall, I hate it.When you're a male and you're tall it's considered attractive, but I would find myself much more attractive if I was 5'7 or below. My reasons why being tall sucks...
1. As a hip hop dancer, you look and feel ackward. It's hard to sell your shit when you tower over everyone else in the group, when you're so tall smaller clothes make you look like a rake and baggy clothes make you look foolish. It is very hard to get a job as a hip hop dancer if you're tall, because choreographers dislike one person standing out, and do not want anyone's height towering over the main act (aka the singer). Yes, they look tall in music videos, but please note, that Shakira is 5'2 and Britney is 5'4, now go and look at all the males standing next to them.
2. Doing ANYTHING that requires a lot of upper body strength is harder for tall people. Break dancing, tumbling, anything that requires you to lift yourself up with just your arms is harder because you have much more weight to carry and much more body to move. And when you fall doing anything it hurts a hell of a lot more. Basically, you have to compensate for much more upper body strength than someone who is a lot shorter. And what really sucks is when all your height is in your legs. (My dad is taller than me when we sit down, he is 5'7)
3. You hit your head on shit. Yeah, you would think people who are 6'1 don't hit their heads on ceilings, pipes, the tops of doors because 6'1 is a common height among males. You are wrong. Especially in foreign countries where the population tends to be a lot shorter. Whilst in El Salvador I had a mild concussion walking into a public bathroom.
I mean... this is not to say that there are no perks to being tall, and I'm probably just oblivious to them because I don't know what it's like to not be tall. Because of the activities I do, I would much rather be average height to shorter... Anyone else have similar feelings ??

What's Most Important ?
If you were on Team A, and Team B was consistently beating you at whatever sport or activity, what do you think you would do about it ?
Would you spend your time trash talking Team B, or would you focus on yourself and how you can better your team. The answer seems quite obvious, but I have many times seen quite the opposite.
You know how I feel about haters... I talk about them all the time. If you find yourself talking smack about someone else or Team B consistently, take a step back and figure out why you're doing it, and how it's only embarassing you. Because the truth is, Team B isn't affected by your words, and they in fact may only boost their egos.
My biggest problem I've EVER had with people, and my biggest pet peeve is when people do a lot of "talking" and little "doing."
I usually find that these people are also really afraid of the truth and are buddy-buddy with denial. Because the truth is mean, but it is not your enemy, it will only help you and denial will only set you back.
Wow... a lot of my posts have not had much "flow" lately... probably because there's a lot of buzz going on in my mind and there's so much going on up there lately I haven't been able to effectively get it out.

I still get nervous
But when it comes to reading off paper about something I'm not passionate about, I just can't bring myself to sell it and not be nervous. It's almost like I don't believe in what I'm saying and I'm not confident about it so I absolutely cannot fake it. I just don't have it in me to be fake I think, even if it benefits me, that's why I could never be in sales. I have no problem talking to people, but if you want me to sell something that I'm not sure if they even need or not, I cannot and will not do it.
I'm a marketing student and I've pretty much been studying sales for 4 years, but I don't know if I'm capable. I've been looking at jobs online a lot lately, and I found one that payed well, but you had to sell kitchen ware. I'm sorry, but I'd rather live on the streets than sell kitchen ware. I'd be much better off at a desk job I think. I don't know how people live their entire lives banking on selling something... I commend those people, because personally I'd be too afraid of rejection ! haha
wow, I really didn't know the direction of this blog post at all.... oh well ! (I'm high on energy drinks from studying so much)

Stress.
I'm very proactive when it comes to my life, and I don't wait until I can't handle things to fix them, I try to fix them ahead of time before they become a problem.
But no matter how hard you try, some things you just can't avoid or fix. And I have to admit that I'm very stressed right now, and there are a lot of things bothering me that I just can't seem to figure out how to fix them. It reminds me of how shitty of a feeling it is, and how many people experience it all day every day. It's so uncomfortable, I feel constantly on edge, I don't know if I want a big hug from someone or if I want to blast music and scream into a pillow. I feel like my heart and chest is racing 24/7.
I know what's got me stressed out, but I've considered every single scenario and there's no way out of any of them right now, they are beyond my control. I'm having a hard time dealing with it, I don't know what do ! :(
I exercise a lot, I generally eat well, and I express my feelings but I still don't know how to make myself feel better right now. It's only been the past few days, but does anyone have any suggestion of how to deal with extreme stress? I just want to relax...

Wisdom Teeth + Laughing Gas
So after constant jaw pain and a really bad cavity, I decide to go see the dentist on Tuesday, he tells me that I should have seen a dentist earlier and that I need a root canal and my wisdom teeth need to come out ASAP. He cancelled some of his appointments on Thursday to fit me in and I had the whole process done yesterday. Yes, this is a picture of the monstrosities that came out of my mouth ( I think I'm about 5 pounds lighter )
So all in all the process wasn't that bad, I was high as a kite on laughing gas (which was a lot of fun) I just remember feeling really relaxed and really good, I could hear the grinding and crunching in my mouth, and I remember tasting blood, but with the laughing gas and the adivan (prescription anti-anxiety medication) I still felt great. I remember looking at the dentist and saying, "This isn't that bad... it's actually kinda fun!" But without the gas my parents in Newfoundland would have probably heard me screaming.
I'm not ashamed to say this, but I think the laughing gas relaxed me a little too much, because when I got home and fell asleep, I wet the bed.... I remember dreaming I was peeing and then waking up and being like... "fuck......." And for the record, I've NEVER been a bed wetter.
So the moral of this post is...Don't be afraid of getting your wisdom teeth out (if you're awake for it) the gas has such a happy effect on you that you actually think someone ripping teeth out of your mouth is fun.
I'm all stitched up inside my mouth now, but I'm not too swollen ! Just eating is a little difficult !

First off, I want to say that it was an amazing weekend, and all the teams that competed did so well, and congratulations to all the division champ teams ! Full results and scores can be found at www.cheerexpo.com
My dance team was lucky enough to place first in Dance making us National Champs :) It was a close battle with Dance Acadia who put up a good fight !
My cheerleading team Heat came in 4th place in our division ! Day 2 we did great tho and all our pyramids and stunts stuck ! :) Congrats to the Manitoba Bisons on winning !
So my dance team will be taking the bid and going to COMPETE AT DANCE WORLDS IN FLORIDA !!! Can you believe it ?? I can't !!! hahahah. Me? In a world's competition? wow.... needless to say I had a great weekend ! To all my fellow dance team members and our captain, I LOVE you so much and I can't wait for our dance world's experience :)
All this travel is pricey for us tho.. haha our school is going to cover some of it, but going all the way to Florida is not cheap ! And like my captain said, we are desperate for money so none of us are above begging... or prostitution. Although I don't think my boyfriend would approve of the latter :P
If anyone knows any companies willing to sponsor a team like us as we represent Canada please let me know !!!

Haters - keep talkin' !
Haters always gonna be talkin about you (yeah the ghetto voice is necessary for this). That's all haters are good for, is talkin'. Haters need to stop talkin', and maybe start "doin'" something.
The more confident you are, and the more things you do - the more haters gonna be on your ass ! Cuz they can't handle it, they have to convince themselves and others around them of how sure they are of you. Well the only thing they can be really sure about, is that a part of them is shocked at your behaviour, and maybe even a little bit jealous !
When I catch a hater sayin shit, cuz it happens often (ex. facebook statuses... yes, I saw it ! ;) ) my initial reaction is to be angry, or upset. But I've conditioned myself to take it as a compliment. Like soverign says "love me or hate me it's still an..." yeah, you know the rest.
So what I have to say is, next time a hating ass bitch got you down, just sing to yourself "1, 2, 4, 3 none of these..." you know the rest of that one too ;)
If you doin' what you doin' and not carin' what other people think about you, YOU ROCK !!!!
Haters keep talking ! Feed our egos and do what you do best ! :)
and once again, sorry for the ghetto typing, it comes out when I'm really passionate ;)

What about the Music ?

Is it just me or has pop and urban music been lacking lately? And have musicians been focusing too much on other things other than music ?
I remember in my second year of university I was literally buying a new CD every week, every tuesday when CD's came out there was something I wanted to buy, but now I feel like everything I hear I dislike. I don't know if my taste's are changing but music just seems to be dead lately, maybe due to economy .... ? lol
And not only that, it seems there's too much focus on things that aren't even music related. For example, MTV taking the "music television" out of it's logo because it definitely is not about music anymore.
And I know I've been player hating on Lady Gaga a lot, but I just have to make a reference to her because I feel like what I'm saying especially deals with her. Don't get me wrong, I love the girl, but do you think she'd be half of what she is if it wasn't for her theatrics and "statements" ? I know the girl can write music, and I know her music is decent, but in all honesty, haven't we heard it before? What is she offering us music wise ?
And what about the telephone music video ? I signed up for a song not a failed attempt at kill bill 3
I feel like a lot of music tastes now are just based on fads and fashion... and that makes me sad :(
I'm not going to jump on the Lady Gaga train, I love what she stands for, but her music is no better than anyone else's and coming from a dancer, gaga can't dance.
*Sorry Gaga lovers !! love you all HUGSSS
Does anyone know what I mean tho? Have you been dying to hear that song at the club that just hits you in the right spots? But feeling like it just doesn't exist right now... ?
That being said, here's a decent jam, nothing spectacular, but it's fun ! Don't mind the douche in the music video
